    Hallo Liberty Church
I am looking forward to your audio sermons as I live in Switzerland and the nearest English church is more than 2 hours away from where I live. My sister Karon is in your church and this website with all the smiling faces (so typically SA) makes me feel in touch with home again. A special HALLO to Vivian – Thank you for all your prayers. Please put me on your mail list for Sunday sermons weekly.
    God be with you all
    Greetings

I just wanted to comment on this mornings meeting with the play. We watched the clip again tonight and still I cried. I wanted to say this is an incredibly powerful/annointed display of God’s love not only for us but for the world. I was extremely convicted to pray for those that are in the middle of those exact struggles. Thank you for the team who put it together, not only great acting but God’s grace flowed through you today, WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANTS!!!

  • Gav says:

What a touching time yesterday morning. The people of Liberty do wonders. Thanks to the guys in the play, you did extremely well, brought the meaning of the Cross closer to all of us. This is the best. Keep up the good work. G

  • Lyn says:

What an awesome,heart-rending portrayal of God’s love for us. I thought my heart would break! I don’t know if this is helpful, but for those of us who can, watch it on youtube giving you a bigger screen.

  • Glenda says:

Just want to say that I thought Sunday morning’s sermon must be one of Basson’s top 10, especially with the play emphasizing the points made.

  • Jean says:

What a great way to connect and interact! I love the comments, giving people a chance to respond to what is on their hearts. Having the video of the play on our website is awesome!

  • Tanya says:

Sitting here by the fire, waiting for Basson to come back from the ’sonship’ time with the men, my heart warms for all you mommies and wives also waiting. You cut your children’s nails, pack the lunches for tomorrow, make some camomile tea (for a good night’s rest), wash the dishes and read your little loved ones (or bigger ones needing some extra love) a Bible story and pray. You ready yourself and prepare to listen and encourage your husbands when they come home… you are precious! Take a moment to look into the eyes of Jesus and see the love and acceptance there!

  • Basson says:

We had such a glorious Morning on Sunday! I could either have told you about the grace of God, or He could have come to show Himself gracious, and He did – thank you, Lord!
The grace, love and acceptance of our Lord is marvelous and glorious! His presence is wonderful and His continual guidance a blessing and awesome privilege!
Remember that our corporate times together constitute the half-time. This is not the game, it is when we get together to be encouraged for the real game, Monday to Saturday. God pours out His Spirit to enpower us for a purpose – to reach our neighbours, our school mates, our employees, etc.
I will probably not have the opportunity to preach on “The Cross of Grace” but we’ll make it available on this site – also check out “Aspects of Grace” under Leadership.

  • Basson says:

    Global Day of Prayer
For the first time ever, every nation across the globe united in prayer on Sunday past! This was such a momentus event! To be a part thereof was both exciting and sobering.
“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Rev.7:9-10.
I believe that what took place around the globe on Sunday was something of a partial earthly fulfillment of this vision of John. Something very significant took place in the Spiritual realms!
It was great to have so many from Liberty present on the day and to share this with you – well done. WE love you.

    An amazed Basson

  • Cheryl Stead says:

    Hi Liberty!
We just wanted to thank you for praying for Daniel last weekend when we had to rush him to the hospital. What a testimony to a loving and caring church family…we were astounded at how many people asked after him ( even though we had only sent the text message to a few!) Bless you! The prayers of many righteous men and women were heard, and he was remarkably better even before he got treated, and recovered speedily after. Thank you Lord!

  • Alta says:

What an awsome Sunday!! To Tarryn and the worship team – well done guys!! I had such a wonderful time just being in His presence.

  • Paul, Heleen, Tiaan, Elaine and Nerika says:

    Good morning to all,
Well yesterday it was a week ago that we were embraced by love, compassion, support, kindness, laughter, tears and so much more. There is only one place in the world you would find all these things under one roof, that is Liberty. Thank you so much for all the prayers and we already look forward to our next visit (definitely a longer one)
You are so fortunate to have each other and you should cherish every meeting, every gathering and every moment in the presence of our Lord Jesus. Never take what you have (Liberty) for granted. Liberty is one of a kind, you will never again find a church like it.
We are so grateful to be a part of it, although 3000 km’s away. We are very fortunate to be able to be in Zambia and give to a nation what you give to us. We give praise to our Lord for what He has in mind for all of us.
Have a wonderful week and may you truly experience the grace of our Lord Jesus this week.
    Lots of love
Paul, Heleen, Tiaan, Elaine and Nerika

  • Francois says:

    Hey all!
Visited Liberty for the very first time this Sunday and wow, what an awesome time in the presence of the Lord. See you all again very soon.

  • Gav says:

Hi all the wonderful people of Liberty.
Just a short blog to bring you up to date with my ankle
I saw the orthopod yesterday and he was very happy with the wound / leg / ankle. The swelling has come down, I have more feeling in the ankle. I have to see him again in 3 weeks time with an xray before I go. I will have a flat foot (he checked the angle of the ankle to the foot and was happy about this) but nothing is to small for God.
Thanks for all the sms’s emails and calls Rose and myself have received.
I am proud to be part of this family. The family we call Liberty.
    Love Gavin

  • Carol says:

Awesome time of wordhip and message this morning. The video clip really brought tears to my eyes. What an awesome FATHER we have.

  • Stuart says:

    Hello Brothers and Sisters,

What a great blessing this website is. Well done to the team and the eldership for getting this organised.

Get well soon Gav, with the foot story.

Granny is moving house this weekend. So enjoy your new home Granny!

This Sunday was very moving, the message simple and the multimedia inspiring. I want to just ask the people of our church to Google Dick Hoyt Iron Man. Read this story, it is amazing and awe inspiring. The message that was preached this weekend was “how much the Father wants to do for us” and I think this movie clip was a brilliant tool to demonstrate a fathers love, but read the story and it gives you an understanding of what this man has done for his son, which in turn makes the message on sunday even stronger. Wow!

I want to ask the church to pray for the church as a whole. Pray for health, pray for finances and prospering businesses, pray for peace in our hearts and a closer, intimate relationship with our Lord.

God bless you all, keep warm!
    Stu…..

  • Tanya says:

It’s raining! It’s raining! We all know how we in George and surrounding areas need rain. (And prayed for rain. Thank you Jesus!) But more than the physical rain, we need the rain of the Holy Spirit! I believe that this rain in the physical is only an outward expression of what God has broken in the spiritual. There is more. So much more. Let it rain, oh, Lord! We are ready to receive and give out Your living water. People get ready. Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord is going to do great things among you, church of Liberty. The days of the Lord using only one person, to do what He has called us to do, is over. We are ALL called. ALL equipt and ALL filled with His power. Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain…

  • Tim says:

    Hi Guys

We are in East London. Missing you all. God is doing wonderful things here. Several thousand people got saved last week in the streets of East London as a result of what happens here at night. The testimonies of what the Fire of God is doing through the broadcasts are amazing.

If you have TBN or CTv you can watch every night at 7 PM (sound is not great as there is a problem on the encoding that I am trying to fix) the Spirit of what is happening is wonderful.

    Love

    Tim

  • Basson says:

We had such a great weekend in PE with the Encounters-time!
It was great to see so many of our tribe from Liberty there – well done guys – what a Kingdom choice!
Wasn’t it great to step out immediately and hit the mall when we got back on Saturday evening – wow! We need to document the testimonies, lest we forget. I am looking forward to tonight. We’ll see you at the warehouse at 18:00 and get going from there.
Let’s trust God to pour out His Spirit and allow the Supernatural to flow!

  • Paul, Heleen, Tiaan, Elaine and Nerika says:

It seems as if you all had a wonderful time in P.E and you sound very excited. Although very far away we also had a great time at the Zambia GTT on the weekend. The leaders are all great guys. Kieran led the GTT and need I say more!!
Please pray for the youth of the relating churches. There is a noticeable absence of young upcoming leaders and it is a very serious concern among the leaders.
Love to all and keep warm”BRRRR”

We see how cold it is in CAW

  • Carol says:

Clint that message was meant for me. THe Father really spoke to my heart. Well done on delivering His Word so well.

    Hi Leaders
It is going to be a cold one at Highlands this weekend!
Remember own breakfast, snaks, fire-wood for your unit, Bible, note book and diary.
Looking forward to spending this time with you!

  • Gav says:

Thanks to the web site team for posting the audio clips of the last few weeks on the Cross. You guys are great. The sonship audio will be released in the next week or two. Sorry for the delays
    Love
    Gavin

  • Paul, Heleen, Tiaan, Elaine and Nerika says:

    Hi Gav,

I trust that all went well and that you are now recovering well. Is there a way that I can download the audio clips and save them? The internet connection is very slow at our home and this makes listening to them at home difficult, but if I can download them and burn them to a cd we can listen to them on the hi fi.
All the best and love to all from us out of a rather cool Zambia.

  • Stuart says:

    Hi Clint,

I found the download button, my apologies!

I wanted to say that cell was awesome last night. I really feel that the purpose of cell was fulfilled through ministry and prayer for each other. I was blessed with every ones words on the issue I brought to the group. My beautiful wife had already spoken many of those words of advice and yet again she was right! So thanks again guys.

    Love you all…

  • Gav says:

    Hi Paul
There is away of downloading the audio files. Just above the audio clip player for the sermon the name of the person who preached is in red. On this tab, right click it and a drop down list appears. On the drop down list click the “Save Link as” button and a new window will open with the name of the download file in it. Click the save button and wait for the file to be downloaded. If you have any problems you can email me on gavin@endreselectrical.co.za.
The ankle is getting better day by day.
    Send love to the family.
    Gavin

  • Stuart says:

Good day to all of you beautiful sons and daughters in Christ.
I wanted to comment on the simplicity of the teaching this sunday and the last couple of sundays. I am finding the simplicity of the message is fantastic. As Christians in our ever more complicated and busy lives, we can over complicate our faith and it can seem like hard work. “Keep it simple” As basson said, look at the Lords prayer…simple, our purpose as Christians is to spread the good news, read the Bile….simple.. and try and do what the bible teaches….fairly simple…ok maybe that is going to be a challenge, but when we fail we can be sure our Father is there to pick us up, embrace us and send us out to try again…God is great
So, great job Basson and the team, “keeping it simple, keeping it real, keeping the faith” (I should right slogans for a living! :)

  • Stuart says:

    Me again,

My beautiful wife sent me this on email. It is a great example of Gods heart. God bless.

Malachi 3:3 says: “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.”

This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.

One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.
That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work.
She didn’t mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver.

As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up.
He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.
The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: “He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.”
She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.

The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.
The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, “How do you know when the silver is fully refined?”

He smiled at her and answered, “Oh, that’s easy — when I see my image in it”

If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has his eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.

This very moment, someone needs to know that God is watching over them and that He will not leave them in the flame one moment longer than necessary to see His image.
And, whatever you’re going through, if you find gratitude for His Master Plan you will grow spiritually and become more like JESUS!
    How Awesome is that?!!!

  • Basson says:

  • Lorinda says:

Hi people, we are looking for friends who would like to get involved with our holiday club. During school holidays we give the children’s teachers a break and give everyone else an oppurtunity to give input into our young people’s lives. This does not involve weekdays, this is Sunday ministry time, therefore it will not take up much of your time. I would like to know if you are willing asap, as we need to look at everyones holiday schedules, and to put you into teams. We have curriculum ready and you will not be alone in this, all we need is willing hearts and hands.
    Lots of love
    Lorinda

  • Grace says:

    Hallo Libertarians,

I want to share a word that I felt God say to me 15 October 2009, I felt it while I was preparing for homecell, but I also feel that it’s a word for us all :
“Never again will I be angry with you, never again will I pour My wrath on you – like I did with the Israelites – I made an everlasting covenant with you, My grace and love covers all, but hides none. My grace and love out numbers My wrath and anger, because you had a perfect Lamb that died for you, in Him there where no fault nor anything false. I see you in His eyes and therefore I can look at you with love streaming out of My heart and eyes. My children I love you, I love you, I love you. You are Mine, I chose you before the creation of the world, before you even knew Me I loved you with an everlasting love and made with you an everlasting covenant – you are Mine and nothing will rip you out of My hand, if you stay tucked away in Me, if you stay in My love (which is perfect and perfect love drives out all fear) stay under My wings, and stay in My rest. I love you, I love you, I love you!!”

Hebr 4:1a : Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands…

Let us enter His rest boldly, because of the Perfect Lamb that died for us, not out of anything we did but out of Everything He did. It is finished.

    Lotza love
    Grace
