Venue proposal meeting

We, as a local church, are a family and although we are not asking for permission, we are definitely asking for input and perspective.
By the grace of God we are outgrowing the current nest and we need a bigger place!

We are incredibly grateful to God for firstly our current venue, which we own and which is fully paid for; and secondly for the growth that we have been experiencing on an ongoing basis.

We want to dream together – we want to dream about our future together as God’s people and as a voice of God into the city of George!
Each one of us has been brought here at different times and from different places, some even from off the continent, with vastly different backgrounds,  to join together and to become partners in the gospel.
“From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.” (Acts 17:26)

This also means that we will each have a different opinion and angle on what needs to be done, which is great, it’s called diversity and creativity.
As long as we remember that there can still be unity in diversity – we are a team, different strengths actually increase our effectiveness!
There will always be opportunity for offense and disappointment, but we ask that we all keep our hearts soft and allow God to lead the Eldership.
I want to ask that we each commit to trusting and submitting to the final decision.

We need to take into account: More people space; more parking space, better children and teens facilities, family fun space – coffee etc., visibility and proximity, area to sustain future growth, some nice to have’s…

Options:
Multiple meetings.
Multiple venues.
Sell, buy land and build something tailor made.
Sell and buy an existing building.
Rent this out and rest something else.
Rework what we have here.

Some are short term solutions only, but may buy us the time that we need to find and implement the long term solution.
We do realize that tonight we are putting the ball into play and that we will not make a final decision until we feel confident that we have heard God!
Thank you so much to all who attended and gave input showing that you too realize the importance and the urgency of this decision and the time/season we are in
